With the rare exception, all serious engine

builders should own or have access to a dynamometer (dyno).
We have three.
For diesel high performance work we have a German made Schenck 1100e. For high performance gasoline motors we have a Superflow 902. For chassis work we have a Dyno Jet 248.
Why three dyno's when most shops have none?
Each dyno is tailored for a specific research need. The diesel dyno must be able to resist tremendous torque down low while the gasoline dyno must be able to spin up to 12,000 rpm! The chassis dyno must be able to test the entire drive train.
Is it expensive to maintain three dyno's?
You bet, but our customers demand the best and we deliver!
